These autumn tourmalines are an innovative cutting idea we developed recently. Traditionally, bicolor tourmalines are cut with different colors running parallel under the table facet. However, with autumn tourmalines, the colors are placed one under another. When the stone moves, different colors come into view through the table facet.
Gold, pinks, and greens all combine and play off each other as the stone moves. The result is fascinating and lively, with the stone continually changing as the wearer moves.
This effect gets lost in still photography. You can see it best in the video on the turntable.
